How to manage your Granite account
Manage your subscription, connected banks, privacy choices, supported platforms, and permanent account deletion.
Your account controls are organized by purpose
Granite keeps financial-plan details, bank connections, billing, alerts, assistant access, and privacy choices in separate areas so you can change one without changing everything else.
Most account controls are available from Settings after you sign in. Permanent deletion also has a public verification flow for customers who cannot access the signed-in settings area.
- Personal Details: profile information and external AI processing preference
- Financial Information: income, recurring expenses, savings, and investments
- Bank Connections: connected institutions, included accounts, reconnection, and disconnection
- Subscription: plan, billing status, renewal or access-end date, and billing portal
- Budget Swing Alerts: whether alerts are enabled and the percentage threshold
- Assistant Access: connected assistants, permissions, activity, and revocation
Review and manage your subscription
Open Settings, then Subscription to see the current plan, status, renewal date or access-end date, billing state, and provider Granite has on record. Choose Manage subscription to open the secure management destination supplied for your billing account.
That portal is where you can manage the options supported by your provider, such as payment details, receipts, plan changes, or cancellation. If cancellation is scheduled, Granite shows when access is expected to end. Access generally remains available through the applicable paid period unless the provider says otherwise.
Apple subscriptions require a separate cancellation
Subscriptions purchased through Apple are managed by Apple. Use Apple’s subscription settings to change or cancel that purchase.
Deleting your Granite account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it with Apple first if you do not want it to renew, then return to Granite to request deletion. If you used Sign in with Apple, you may also remove Granite from your Apple ID sign-in permissions in Apple’s settings.
Disconnect a financial institution
Open Settings, then Bank Connections. Find the institution you want to remove and choose Disconnect. Granite asks you to confirm before removing the connection.
Disconnecting removes the institution’s current sync and associated transaction history from Granite. It also means supported budgets, Insights, and cash-flow features can no longer use that connection’s activity. Cleanup may take a few minutes, and you can connect the institution again later as a new connection.
Reconnect instead when Granite needs attention
A disconnected or permission-limited connection may show Reconnect Bank instead of Disconnect. Use that secure flow when you want to preserve the relationship and restore transaction access rather than remove the institution.
Granite support does not need your bank password, verification code, or full account number. Authentication and multifactor prompts belong inside the secure connection flow provided by your institution and Plaid.
Control external AI processing
In Personal Details, the Savings Insights processing control lets you enable or disable external AI processing. When enabled, Granite may send your question and the minimum budget, balance, category, or transaction summary needed to produce a plain-language insight.
Turning the control off disables that external processing for supported experiences. Granite can continue to provide deterministic budget calculations where available, although AI-generated summaries or Savings Insights may be limited or unavailable.
Manage assistant access separately
Open Assistant Access to review supported assistant connections. You can inspect what a connected assistant may access, adjust available permissions where offered, review recent activity, or disconnect the integration.
Revoking an assistant connection prevents future access through that authorization. It does not delete your Granite account or disconnect your banks. Manage those items in their own settings areas.
Choose whether Granite uses analytics cookies
Granite loads Google Analytics only after you accept the analytics notice. Choose Decline if you do not want analytics scripts and related cookies loaded.
You can revisit the choice with the Cookie settings button. Changing the preference affects product analytics; it does not prevent essential sign-in and account functionality needed to provide Granite.
Control alerts and device access
Budget Swing Alerts are optional. In Settings, open Budget Swing Alerts to enable or disable them and choose the percentage change that should trigger an alert. Your device and operating-system notification settings can also prevent or allow delivery.
On supported mobile devices, Granite can use Face ID or device biometrics to help protect access. The operating system performs the biometric match; Granite does not receive or store an image of your face. You can change biometric permission in the app or device settings available on that platform.
Supported platforms
Granite’s core budgeting experience is available on the web, iOS, and Android. Sign in with the same Granite account to use the supported features available on each surface.
Supported iPhone Home Screen widgets and the Apple Watch companion provide glanceable budget context. Apple Watch is a companion to the iPhone experience rather than a replacement for the full app: use web, iOS, or Android when you need to manage transactions, financial information, bank connections, billing, or privacy controls.
Request permanent account deletion
Cancel any active, trialing, or past-due subscription before requesting deletion. Then visit granitefinance.io/delete-account, enter the email associated with your Granite account, and use the verification link Granite sends to confirm the request.
After confirmation, Granite schedules the account and associated customer data for permanent deletion. Granite’s Privacy Policy allows up to 30 days for deletion. The process also removes Granite’s connection to eligible financial accounts; limited records may be retained when required for tax, accounting, chargeback, fraud-prevention, dispute, security, or other legal obligations.
- Cancel billing with the provider that manages your subscription
- Submit the email address associated with Granite
- Open the verification link and confirm the request
- Do not expect deletion to cancel an Apple subscription
- Contact Granite promptly if you submitted the request by mistake
Your broader privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete certain personal data. Granite’s Privacy Policy explains the information collected, how it is used and shared, retention practices, AI processing, and region-specific rights.
For a privacy request that is not covered by an in-product control, contact hi@granitefinance.io and describe the request using the email associated with your account. Never include a bank password, verification code, or full account number.
