What is Granite Finance?
Learn how Granite turns your financial plan and connected-account activity into a daily budget, cash-flow context, and clearer spending decisions.
Granite Finance is a daily budgeting app
Granite Finance is a bank-connected budgeting app that helps answer a practical question: how much may be safe to spend today while still respecting the rest of your financial plan?
Instead of leaving you to compare a checking balance with a separate list of bills and goals, Granite brings the relevant pieces together. The result is a daily, weekly, and monthly view designed to make the next spending decision easier to understand.
What Granite uses to build your budget view
You provide the plan Granite should protect, and connected accounts can supply eligible activity from the accounts you use for spending. As those inputs or transactions change, the amount available for future decisions can change too.
- Reliable monthly take-home income
- Recurring bills and other planned expenses
- Savings and investment contributions you want to protect
- Eligible purchases, deposits, and other activity from connected spending accounts
- The time remaining in the current budgeting period
What Granite can help you understand
The daily budget is the most immediate view, but it is not the only one. Granite also organizes the activity and upcoming commitments that explain why the number moved and what may be ahead.
- What may be safe to spend today, this week, and this month
- How recent transactions and pending activity affect the plan
- Where spending is concentrated across categories
- How income, expenses, savings, and investments have changed over time
- What upcoming activity may do to checking-account cash flow
- When a meaningful daily-budget change may deserve a closer look
How connected accounts fit in
When you choose to connect an eligible account, Granite uses Plaid’s secure connection flow. You authenticate with your financial institution inside that flow and choose the accounts you want to share.
Connected activity is not always instant. A purchase may arrive as pending, change when it posts, or take additional time to become available. Granite updates supported views as eligible information moves through that process.
Where you can use Granite
Granite’s core budgeting experience is available on the web, iOS, and Android. Supported iPhone widgets and the Apple Watch companion can also provide glanceable budget context.
Sign in with the same Granite account on a supported platform. Exact features can depend on the device, app version, permissions, subscription status, and available financial information.
What Granite does not decide for you
Granite organizes information and shows tradeoffs; it does not make purchases, move money, or decide what matters most to you. A daily budget is context for a decision, not an instruction to spend and not a judgment about a choice you already made.
Granite also does not replace professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You remain in control of the accounts you connect, the plan you enter, and the decisions you make.
